Pine Attack and Penetration Test

Pine Attack and Penetration Test

If you want to put your digital security measures to the test, Pine can do this for you in such a way that it will not disrupt your day-to-day business. Pine will use any publicly available information (such as the name of your website) to plan and execute an attack on your organization's digital infrastructure or your web-hosting infrastructure with the aim to penetrate its security safety measures.

There are two ways to perform this test: by a "black box" scan or by a "crystal box" scan. When the black box scan is used, Pine will attempt to break in without any knowledge of the system. This will show if a malicious outsider can break into your system and obtain sensitive information.

With the crystal box, Pine uses a (optionally created especially for the test) username/password combination to log on to the system with the same security level a user normally logs on with. This way, the hacking options of a malicious insider (or someone who knows the password of an insider) will be tested. Pine advises to use the crystal box scan if the system to be tested normally uses user authentication for access to certain information.

If your digital security measures can be penetrated, Pine will deliver proof of this in the report of the Attack and Penetration test. In the report you will also find the steps which have led to the compromisation of the system. Ofcourse the necessary steps to solve the security vulnerabilities will also be detailed in the report.

Once the report has been completed, Pine will present its findings to you at your office. The Pine representative will take the time necessary to ensure that you will not be left with any unanswered questions. The Attack and Penetration Test report will be then handed over to you.

Pine can also perform the Attack and Penetration test for you on a recurring basis, in which case we can offer you an interesting discount on the price per test.

Like with all other information that Pine handles for its customers, all information obtained from your organization, as well as the Attack and Penetration Test report will be treated as strictly confidential.
