About Pine

Pine Digital Security is a privately owned company, founded in 1997 under the name Pine Internet. The company founders started Pine after they led one of the first Dutch internet service providers to an acquisition in 1996.

The company originally focused on the delivery of, what would now be considered, basic internet services. Where organizations could no longer find a partner in the big internet service providers when they had more advanced requirements, Pine was able to grow its business because of its knowledgeable and flexible support staff.

Security was, and still is, an area that many customers of Pine pay special attention to. Pine developed several unique security products and services for her customers. Pine launched it's "EVE" lawful interception product in 2001 and became market leader in The Netherlands soon thereafter.

In 2002 Pine decided to change her full name from Pine Internet to Pine Digital Security.

Besides being market leader in the Dutch LI market and an important supplier of LI solutions outside the Netherlands, Pine is the home of numerous complex e-mail and web services that are hosted for organizations that demand the best in terms of digital security, availability, and connection speed for themselves and their customers. Last but not least, Pine is a w ell known and respected provider of security services such as penetration tests, software audits and security consultancy.

Pine Digital Security employs only highly skilled personnel with proven track records within their field of work. Pine is a full member of the ETSI committee for Lawful Interception (TCLI). In this committee, Pine is active as rapporteur of the handover specifications for e-mail (TS 102 232 part 2) and IP Multimedia/VOIP (TS 102 232 part 5). The ETSI 102 232 range of specifications will most probably become the successor of the Dutch TIIT specification.
